What We Do
Our community-led initiatives are designed to enhance access to information, resources and opportunities, support evidence-informed participation, and provide clear channels for engagement with local decision-makers and stakeholders.
These initiatives integrate data, resident input, and strategic guidance to design and implement projects that respond to local needs. Each project follows principles of transparency, accountability, and inclusivity, ensuring that solutions are practical, measurable, and sustainable.
Community leadership is about organizing, guiding, and empowering community members so they can participate meaningfully in decisions that affect their lives. Our current project demonstrates this approach by improving access to information and facilitating two-way communication between residents and decision-makers.

Light Board Project: Enhancing Community Access to Information
Active Leaders of Love (ALL) is committed to making community information more transparent and accessible across Ontario.

The Light Board Project (formerly OSC) improves how residents access updates about local programs, services, and community initiatives. Our goal is simple: help people stay informed, connected, and able to participate in decisions that affect their lives.
Many Ontarians—especially in urban areas—struggle to find clear, timely information. The Light Board Project explores ways to close these gaps by studying how information flows between communities, service providers, and local leaders.

By facilitating transparent, accessible, and accountable communication, the Light Board Project supports communities across Ontario in becoming better informed, more engaged, and equipped to participate effectively in local decision-making.
